This post has a list of podcast episodes on women business owners and the unique story of their road to success.
The start of your business might have been motivated because you needed the money or you were frustrated with something and motivated to find a solution. These are some of the same reasons why the women in the podcast episodes below launched their business. And that’s just the beginning of each woman’s unique story of how she built her own business.
There are so many business podcasts out there and many of them with the same stories.
I intentionally selected these stories because each story is about motivation and determination to “make it”. Even though one of the women didn’t know anything about the industry, or another didn’t have the financial backing or one was almost ready to retire.
So many challenges each woman faced but was motivated to keep going and so will you, after listening to these episodes.

The only type of make-up that didn’t irritate Vick Tsai’s skin was from Japan, and it wasn’t from a department store. But make-up used by the centuries-old Geisha community. Determined to figure out a way to bring this type of natural make-up to the U.S., Vicky didn’t give up when retailers said Asian brand cosmetics are not en vogue or had any potential for success. She knew how the product made her feel and how it looked on her skin and had the intuition that others would feel the same way. This episode will take you from the very beginning of Vicky's career in NYC to living in her parent’s home and working out of their garage to build her cosmetic company, Tatcha.
